With a big number of link exchange scripts on the market it is vitally important to know what factors differ a good script from a script that will waste link building campaign and threaten the success of your whole site’s existence. You can use this review as a list of checkpoints to qualify any link exchange tool for professionalism and effectivity.

Crucial factors of link building:
(1) Quality and relevancy of link partners.
(2) SEO nature of link exchange directory and its pages.
(3) Expenses on link building and link management.
(4) Link exchange conversions.

Let’s make a step by step testdrive for Auto Link Exchanger over these points so that you could apply the same strategy for estimating other link building solutions.

(1) Quality and relevancy of link partners.

No doubts. The quality of links is a huge advantage. Search engines will not penalize a site for having backlinks on bad sites as you physically cannot control all sites that link to you. But if you are reciprocating to these sites and these sites don’t have relation to your niche or don’t have much trust – your link building can become a big trouble.

When Google is estimating the page to which you are reciprocating, their bots take into account (a) page rank of that page, (b) trust rank of the site, (c) relevancy. Auto Link Exchanger applies the same principles as its searching algorithm finds relevant sites and places link on pages that are nicely indexed and properly represent their niche. You can even choose Auto Link Exchanger’s setting to pick sites that are higher than PR 2 or 3 or 5 – up to you.

(2) SEO nature of link exchange directory and its pages.

The old days when links could be piled on category pages are over. Search engines will not penalize you for it. But those who use the latest SEO fashion to create link directory pages get solid advantage over those who create old style SEO-weak directories.

Join the World's #1 Web Host!

Close to a must today is having keywords in category titles, descriptions, URLs, in the content on the pages. Plus it is also crucial to blend relevant content with links right on the pages. Pages should have RSS feeds.

Auto Link Exchanger automated all these factors. With a number of settings made the tool is automatically creating SEO-wise pages, updates RSS feeds to search engines, delivers relevant news on pages and blends them with links. Also gives extra visibility to links by automatically showing PR picture and Alexa Rank close to each site.

(3) Expenses on link building and link management.

Link exchange is expensive: find links, exchange them, create link directory, control the links on other sites – this can turn into a big monthly budget on SEO team. You can cut down these expenses if you do all these jobs yourself, but you must be prepared to spend most of your daily time on this job.

Auto Link Exchanger automates most of the link building processes that include: building link directory, integrating necessary SEO elements into it, finding link partners, managing link exchange, controlling the backlinks. The only aspect that site owner should do with Auto Link Exchanger is installing the script and making its settings.

(4) Link exchange conversions.

Link exchange conversions are one of the biggest despairs of link building. Old-fashioned procedure of sending beggy email and waiting when someone will build links with your site gives very low conversions. Even if you make your emails customized it gives around 10% of clicks on these emails, and only part of opened emails will give you link exchanges. This results in very low percentage of successful link exchange conversions.

Auto Link Exchanger uses revolutionary principle of finding link partners that gives 50-60% link exchange conversions. And this is without sending beggy emails. The tool is shortcutting you directly to the pages and your links get on them – webmasters just need to approve which happens within first 15 minutes – up to several days. In some niches 80% conversions were reached with Auto Link Exchanger’s link building.

Using the same factors you can scale the value of other link building solutions on the market.

Changing LINKS

Auto Link Training #1

Today I am going to share how I handle the process of link building
with Auto Link Exchanger.

As you know, my tool has different types of link building: automatic,
semi-automatic and even manual (I don’t use it, but still it’s
possible to use my tool even in fully manual mode).

It this day of Auto Link Exchanger Success Tips course I am going to
cover only one type of link exchange…

FULLY AUTOMATIC LINK EXCHANGE

Before you proceed to it, make sure that you have done all tips that I
have shared with you in the previous days of the course, I mean: links
to directory categories on your index page, good SEO packaging of your
link pages with news macros and unique introductory text, anchors of
links, descriptions, etc.

It is important because fully automatic link exchange will not work if
these factors are not introduced into your link exchange directory.

Ok, fully automated exchange.

In ALE interface you should click ‘Auto Exchange’ link, and you will
get to the settings.

As you can see, this section allows you to:

- “Choose Link Exchange Source”

You tick the source from where the link partners will be found:
Reciprocal Manager, Link Machine or the base of sites that already use
Auto Link Exchanger.

- Prequalify sites with “Google PR”

From the dropdown menu you choose the PR of sites to prequalify your
link partners. If you choose PR 4, my tool will be exchanging links
with sites that have PR 4 and higher. To be frank, I don’t pay too
much attention to PR, because even fresh site with PR 0 that has huge
potential is worth linking. But you have the freedom to choose.

- Put “Banned Words for Auto Link Exchange”

I will not open any secret if say that one word can have multiple
meanings. To focus your partners to the relevancy of your niche, you
can swipe off the sites that don’t relate to your niche, but can be
using the same keyword.

For example, you want to build links with sites about ‘exchange’, but
the word ‘exchange’ can be used in different niches: link exchange,
currency exchange, students exchange, etc. Surely these niches are
different. But putting the banned words, you take the irrelevant sites
from the scope of your search and link building.

- Set “Number of Links Added with Each Cron Jobs Activation”

Google punishes sites (especially fresh sites) for the too fast link
growth. That is why I introduced the setting when you can pick how
much sites/links will be added to your directory with each activation
of cron jobs. My experience shows that under 100 new links per week is
safe. That is why if you have crons set to be activated 1 time every
24 hours, you can set 100 links / 7 days = appr. 14 links per each
activation of cron jobs. Don’t be greedy. The power of link building
is not about the speed of link exchange. It’s about the quality and
regularity of link exchange. Better 1 good link every day of the year
than 365 links in a bulk and then nothing.

- “Set number of links to be added to all categories”

When you set the number and click ‘Ok’, ALE puts this number to the
‘Count’ of each category in the table below. It is not obligatory to
use this option as you can manually put the number of links to be
added in the line of each category of the table in this section of ALE
interface.

The bottom of the page is the table with categories of your directory
(if you haven’t created any category, don’t be surprised to see that
the table is empty).

By ticking a category, you tell ALE to build links for it. You can
click ‘Check All’ button to choose all categories. For unticked
categories ALE will not be building links at this launch. That is why
if your category A has many links and category B – zero links and you
need links only for category B at this moment, just tick category B
and ALE will build links for this category only.

The field ‘Count’ shows how many links you have set for each category
to be built and with each new activation of crons (read: new addition
of links to these categories) the number of links in the category will
be decreasing, showing you how much links are left to be built for
each category.

That’s all with Auto Exchange settings, but don’t click ‘Save’ before
you made one step.

In the new window open Manage Categories and check if you added
necessary keywords for the search for each category (in Keywords For
Search box of each category template). If you have not set the
keywords for search, ALE will not know what keyword to use to find
link partners for each category.

If all keywords are set, you can click ‘Save’ button of Auto Exchange
and ALE will start building links automatically. They will be
appearing in your directory in portions with each new activation of
cron jobs.

One the last issue about Auto Exchange. After the automated exchange
started, you will be receiving special emails. Some of them will be
notifying you that your link has been posted on the site. Others will
be sending you special activation link that you have to click to
confirm this link exchange. The type of email will depend upon the
network that you choose (Reciprocal Manager, Link Machine or ALE
sites). So track your emails.

Enough for automatic link exchange. In the next lesson of our course
I will explain you the advantages of semi-automatic exchange and how
you can do it.

Auto Link Training #2

Today I will share one more crucial tip about link building. This tip
will instantly put your site out of other sites that run link
directories with outdated thinking.

The days when you could create directory where links are divided into
categorized and piled on the pages ARE OVER. Search engines very
quickly adopted the *fruits* of thousands of people who wanted to
manipulate links and reach success. As a result, site visitors got to
pages that were nothing but piles of links.

I do not say that if you have link exchange directory where link pages
store only links – this will harm your site. But I am sure if you
blend relevant content with links on these pages – you will have a
much BIGGER SUCCESS.

So, the major tip of today’s lesson is to…

BLEND RELEVANT CONTENT WITH LINKS INSIDE LINK EXCHANGE DIRECTORY

To understand what I mean try to remember pleasant site visitor
experience that you had on some sites with links. Most probably that
were sites where links had some content that was describing what
exactly you will get by clicking the links. I don’t mean typical link
title and description – I am talking about some kind of text that
prepared you for what you get by clicking this or that link.

These pages are great not only for site visitors. They are super for
search engines, because search engines index links and index content.
Thus, on one page you get double boost – relevant links + relevant
content.

Auto Link Exchanger gives you perfect chance to automate content and
links blending. It is done via these features.

#1. Unique Content on Pages.

My tool has integrated WYSIWYG editor. Using it you can add unique
content to the directory index page, and pages of categories. To see
the example, check one of the link categories on my site:
http://www.autolinkexchanger.com/directory/Link-Exchange.html

As you can see, before the group of links I created unique content
“Auto Link Exchanger has gathered reputable link exchange…” Plus you
can see that necessary keywords of this category are bolded.

How to make it:
(1) Login to ALE admin interface

(2) Go to Settings – Directory Settings and tick the checkbox “Display
Category Text” – ticking this checkbox says to ALE to activate macros
%CATEGORY_TEXT% in the template of directory index page and category
pages (macroses are managed in Template Management – Directory
Templates).

(3) Now you can add any text into “Category Text” field of WYSIWYG
editor. To add unique text to directory index page, go to Settings -
Directory Settings. To add texts to categories, go to Manage
Categories – choose necessary category and click edit icon (picture of
a pencil) – this will send you to category template management page
with WYSIWYG editor where you submit necessary text to “Category Text”

With the help of editor you can play with text fonts, bolding,
italics, underlining, color, etc.

In my example I put the text above links. This is because I want to
prepare people before clicking the links: I say that type of links are
here and how they can use them. But you are free to put macros
%CATEGORY_TEXT% into any place of your directory and/or category which
gives you a huge freedom in making your pages look individual.

#2. Relevant News on Pages.

This is another advantage of Auto Link Exchanger. The tool can
automatically search relevant news from MSN or Yahoo newsfeeds and
automatically add them on your pages.

It is great because fresh news appear daily. Thus, search engines will
see that part of the relevant content is updated daily on your pages.
They will think you work like gnome each day with links and content -
very good for your site in their eyes.

How to do that:
(1) Go to Settings – Directory Settings; you will find these settings:

“Display News” – tick it to allow ALE displaying news on your pages.

“Take News from” – choose the source of news; Yahoo or MSN.

“Maximum Number of News Displayed per Page” – how much news will be on
each page, I have 5, but you can have more, still don’t be too greedy,
maybe your niche is not that big, so if you pick 50 news on each page,
the content will not be changed quickly and this feature loses its SEO
sense.

“Keyword for Searching News for Directory Page” – what keywords to use
when searching news. I have Link+Exchange because have the site about
link exchange. By the way, note that I have ‘+’, it means you tell ALE
not to look for news about ‘link’ or ‘exchange’ – this can give lots
of irrelevant news. By using Link+Exchange I focus the search to news
about link exchange only.

(2) To explain ALE where exactly to put news on your pages go to
Template Management – Directory Templates and pick necessary template.
This will open the template in editor. Put macros %NEWS% to the
location on the page where you’d like the news to be displayed, click
‘Update’

DON’T FORGET that after you made ANY changes and saved them, click big
button ‘Create Pages’ at the top on the interface for ALE to publish
these changes on your site.

Again, to see the example of news on my site, go to this category
http://www.autolinkexchanger.com/directory/SEO.html and you’ll find
news under the group of links. Good, relevant SEO news on SEO page
with SEO links. And these news are regularly updated. Automatically!

#3. SEO Wrapping of Your Pages.

Of course, search engines don’t look only on page content. They also
notice the SEO wrapping of the pages – I am talking about page title,
description, meta, keywords in URL and other factors. Some of these
factors are more important, some less. But as we talk about extra
advantages that you set once – I think it is very wise to use all of
them.

(1) Go to Settings – Directory Settings. Here you need one vital
setting – it is “Separating Symbol for File Name.” I recommend
choosing ‘hyphen’ and let me explain why. This setting tells ALE how
exactly separate keywords in the URLs of your categories
(subcategories). ALE will automatically put necessary keywords into
category URLs. And if you separate them with hyphens, it is better for
search engines, because they read keywords in URLs too.

There is also extra setting in Directory Settings – “Name Directory
Files Using.” It explains to ALE how exactly to write keywords in the
URL. I use ’same’ because when submit necessary keywords, the first
letter in all keywords is capitalized – but this is more of a
tradition for me.

Enough with it, go to some template of the category (Manage Categories
and pick necessary category).

(2) When you are on the page of some category and want to give SEO
power to each page, you need to pay special note to these settings:

“Category Name” – it is how your category will be named in the
directory. Sure, use your keywords, for example Web Site Promotion.

“Browser Title” – the page title of this category, I put a long one
“Web Site Promotion Category of Auto Link Exchanger Link Exchange
Directory” You can do it the way you wish, the most important is to
use necessary keywords in the page title.

What is the difference between “Category Name” and “Browser Title”?
“Browser Title” names the page title of given category. And “Category
Name” says ALE how to name this category in the list of other
categories on directory index page. Check this page as example:
http://www.autolinkexchanger.com/directory/Web-Site-Promotion.html
Its browser title is “Web Site Promotion Category of Auto Link
Exchanger Link Exchange Directory” and when you click the index of
directory (http://www.autolinkexchanger.com/directory/) you will see
that this category is named “Web Site Promotion.”

Ok, moving further.

“Category File Name” – this setting tells ALE what keywords to use for
the URL of this category. I put “Web Site Promotion” and automatically
ALE named this category
http://www.autolinkexchanger.com/directory/Web-Site-Promotion.html

By the way, you see that keywords are separated with hyphens. This is
why you needed to set “Separating Symbol for File Name.”

“Category Text” – we covered it, this adds unique content to each
category.

“Meta Keywords” – meta keywords of this category. Many webmasters
doubt the value of meta keywords for SEO these days. But I recommend
putting your category keywords here – this will not make any harm,
only will boost the SEO.

“Meta Description” – meta description of this category page; very
important and useful and don’t forget to put your keywords here.

“Keywords For Search” – the keywords that ALE will be using to find
relevant links for this category.

Some minor settings left. They don’t have relation to SEO, but…

“Place category to” – location of this category. If this is category,
put it to ‘ROOT’. If subcategory – put it to necessary category.

“Show category” – of course, choose ‘yes’. Otherwise why the heck are
you creating it?! ;) This setting was introduced for reasons when you
want not to show this category for a while on your site. In all other
cases I pick ‘yes.’

END OF LESSON – DAY 2.

I think it’s enough for today. ALE has many other candy features. But
we’ve mentioned the most important features that automatically turn
each of your directory pages into powerful content pages with relevant
links. Use this potential and get ready for the new tip tomorrow.

Organic Link Building Revealed

Issue #1: Theme Relevancy — How To Make Sure Your Link Building Helps Your Rankings As Well As Your Visitors

Hello and welcome to Organic Link Building Revealed. Today we’re gonna talk about one of the most important things to consider when developing links — namely, theme relevancy. Got a lot to discuss so let’s get straight to business.

—Dan
In Today’s Issue:
***What Is Theme Relevancy And Why Should I Care?***
***Hey, A Link Is Still A Link, No Matter Where It Comes From, Right? Wrong!***
***OK, So How Do I Find All These Beautiful Sites Related To Mine?***
What Is Theme Relevancy And Why Should I Care?

What theme relevancy means is the site that places a link to yours (an vice versa) should be relevant or related to your sites “theme”. Ideally, your link partner’s Website should complement, but not compete with whatever you are offering.

For instance, if you are selling blue widgets, it makes sense to get a link from a site selling widget accessories. Or, if you are selling Search Engine Optimization services, it’s a good idea to get links pointing to SEO-related articles, search engines news and forums. And, in both examples, it’s definitely NOT a good idea to exchange links with casino, gambling, or real estate sites.

This is not to say that blue widget buyers never gamble or never purchase real estate. But if they came to your site looking for your products or services such as blue widgets or SEO services, there’s probably one chance out of a million they are interested in casinos or real estate right now.

This is how your site’s visitors would have thought, and this is how search engines think it should be. Google, Yahoo!, MSN and other major search engines have been designed with one purpose — to provide value to their users, which means relevant, accurate search results. Their algorithms may — and will — change, but this underlying principle will remain the same.

“Hey, A Link Is Still A Link, No Matter Where It Comes From, Right?”
Wrong! This is a misconception that can easily get you in trouble. This approach could bring you short-term benefits 2 or 3 years ago, but major search engines (especially Google) have gotten a lot smarter since then.

If you still think theme relevancy is nice-to-have rather than a must-have, well, think again. Get a hundred unrelated links pointing to your site, and several things will happen, none of which involves high rankings for you:

* Google will simply not count these links when computing your ranking. This is the best thing that could happen since it doesn’t involve penalizing your site;

* Google will think (justifiably) that your site belongs to a different theme (say, gambling) and treat it accordingly. This could mean your site will go up in gambling-related search results, and down in the results you seek (such as blue widget results). Now, you don’t want this, do you?

* With the last Google algo update (dubbed “Big Daddy”), Google will decide (again, justifiably) you are trying to trick search engines and will simply drop your site from its index. Ouch. That was definitely NOT intended.

So here’s a rule of thumb: Always keep your site’s visitors in mind when running your link building campaigns. Try to get into your visitors’ shoes and think what resources they would be interested in. Would they be interested in casino sites? No? Then don’t do it.

“OK, So How Do I Find All These Beautiful Sites Related To Mine?”
Easy. There are several ways you can do it:

1. Do a search in major search engines such as Google using your niche keywords. Scan the results, copy the URLs you are interested in into a spreadsheet, wash rinse and repeat.

2. Visit a good link directory. Link directories are human-compiled directories of sites broken down into categories. DMOZ is an excellent example. Simply find your niche category in a directory, and search for relevant link partners there.

3. A trick you could use is examine your competition. Your competitors, who are selling, say, red widgets, most likely have other sites that link to them. You can use the LINK:WWW.COMPETITOR.COM command in Google, for example, to find out who.

So really, you can do it all by hand. The only problem is that finding quality link partners for your site — as important for your site’s success as it is — is very time-consuming. So if the above does not seem easy for you, here’s the good part.

LinkAssistant makes it a lot easier to find relevant link partners. Just point to Tools -> Find new link partners… and explore your options. In short, you can do it all:

1. Find new partners using keyword search. Point to Tools -> Find new link partners… -> Search for new partners on the Web -> Find sites by keyword search. Then simply enter your niche keyword phrase and let LinkAssistant do the rest — find hundreds of potential link partners related to your site’s theme. Pretty fast, too.

2. With LinkAssistant you can also scan a complete Website (such as a links directory) and harvest all links from it, or just a specific category or page.

Cutting edge web promotion software

3. LinkAssistant doesn’t stop here. You can also use it to quickly figure out who links to your competition and acquire hundreds of relevant link partners this way.

4. And it’s getting even better. Some sites are using link submission forms to exchange links. They provide you with a form that you must fill in specifying your domain, the page with a backlink, your email, etc. With LinkAssistant you can quickly find relevant “Auto-Complete” link partners, and fill in their submission forms automatically — again, saving you time.

Now, let’s assume you need to find and evaluate 50 link partners a day. If you do it by hand, and spend 5 minutes on every link partner, you’ll end up stealing more then 4 hours of your precious time. If you don’t use LinkAssistant, that is.

And, after you’ve tried the manual versus the LinkAssistant way of finding potential link partners, I won’t have to ask you which one you like best — I know the answer ;-)

I hope you enjoyed this issue as much as I did when I wrote it. So go make yourself a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, power up LinkAssistant and let it do the job for you.

That’s it for now. Contact me at dan@link-assistant.com if you have any questions, and stay tuned for the next issue entitled “Link Anchors And Descriptions — Things You Must Know About Them To Get On The Right Side Of Google”.

Common sense tactics

29 11 2008

By: Abby Prince

Small businesses often struggle since they have limited cash flow,
resources, time, and a number of other factors working against them. As
a result of these obstacles, many small business owners are lost when
it comes to managing and marketing their businesses.

Anita Campbell, Editor in Chief of Small Business Trends,
offers up some advice regarding these situations in the above video.
The first thing on her list is prioritizing. Focus on what brings you
the most return on investment (ROI).

Next, make sure your fundamentals are still on target. Your
fundamentals should be SEO, PPC advertising, email marketing, your
blog, and online press releases. Don’t forget about your fundamentals
since they hold your business together.

After (and I did say after) your fundamentals are in order,
you can focus on social media. In the beginning, your social media
efforts will take longer since you have to allow time for set up and
building your community. But after you’ve gotten established, you
shouldn’t spend all your time on social media. Many times, small
business owners neglect their fundamentals because they are too caught
up with Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Social media is important, but it shouldn’t take priority over your
regular website updates. You want people to come to your site, so you
should have current content and material.

Decide on a specific brand and use it consistently on your social
media sites. Establish a personal brand as well as a business brand so
that they are always associated with one another.

These tips may seem too basic, but unfortunately, many business
owners skip the basics and move on to the advanced before they’re
ready. There is always time to build, but make sure you have something
to build upon before you move forward.

Review of: AdWatchers

If you’ve been keeping-up with the top internet marketing big product launches, then you’ve likely heard the names, “Xray Domination,” “Google Cash Detective,” and “Undercover Profits.”

These tools went for as much as ,500.00 or 0.00 a month and sold-out.

The reason is because they allow pay-per-click advertisers to uncover what keywords, ads, and products are either losing money or making money.

You can then take this information to immediately turn a profit, instead of spending weeks or months testing, tracking, and tweaking.

AdWatchers is the latest “Ad Spying” tool released by Rod Beckwith (publisher of tools, such as Adword Generator, Misspelled Keywords, CB Accountant, Software Defender, and Press Equalizer).

AdWatchers has several features that separate it from other tools. These include:

· It’s a complete web-based solution. This means you don’t have to install anything or deal with any technical hassles. Since these types of programs are major resource hogs, this is a huge advantage for those who not the most tech-savvy marketers. A lot of web hosts have been known to disable accounts that suck-up too many resources.

· It monitors an enormous 3,000 keywords at any one time and stores unlimited inactive ones. If you were to install an Ad Spying program on your standard shared hosting plan, you might be able to monitor enough keywords for 1 small campaign.

· It has a built-in directory of pre-researched keywords. You can then input these into your account and get instant access to valuable information. This is invaluable for spotting trends and getting ideas quick. You don’t have to wait weeks or months to gather data before you can take advantage of AdWatchers.

Finally, to top is all off, AdWatchers is affordable. It’s far less than what many of the earlier programs cost.

AdSense businesses have taken off like wildfire in recent years. Because it allows you to get cash flowing in without top marketing or copywriting skills.

You just get people to click on the ads and you get paid. It’s not rocket science.

However, before you can get people to your sites in the first place and get paid a fair amount per click, you’ve got to pick a profitable niche.

If you pick the wrong one, then all of your efforts may not make you anything.

Top Keyword Data is a tool that promises to help you find high-profit, low-competition niches in as little as seconds.

It works by storing over 130,000 keywords and allowing you to sort the keywords by such data as how much they pay-per-click and the amount of competition they have.

So, with a few clicks of a button, you can find the most profitable keywords to optimize your pages for.

Additionally, you can type in a keyword to find all of the keywords in a niche. This allows you to quickly analyze a niche idea for its likelihood of success.

This means using Top Keyword Data is simple and easy to use (and saves you a ton of time). But, more importantly, increases your ratio of successful sites.

Now, you can rest more assured that your efforts to create a new site are going to pay off. This alone could double, triple, or even quadruple your AdSense income.

For this reason, Top Keyword Data gets my highest recommendation. It’s simple to use and pays off many times over in the years to come.

Note: Before you begin, if you’re NOT 100% serious about getting your website to the top of Google, Yahoo, and MSN, don’t read another word. Only read on if you plan to put everything I will be teaching you into action. It’s best to download the PDF version from above so you can print each lesson off on your printer, highlight areas and take notes as you learn the exact steps needed for a top search engine ranking. Ok, now on to lesson 1… If you’re anything like I was when I first began online, you’ve probably created a brand new website. Then submitted it to a few search engines and hoped that people would mysteriously show up at your site and buy whatever it is you were selling. After a couple of weeks go by and only a few stray people show up at your website, you decide to try and “optimize” your website around your main keyword in hopes that you just might rank well in 1 of the millions of search engines. Another couple of weeks go by and still no luck. At this point you probably give up and decide to either build another website around a different target market or just lose all hope and quit. Well, news flash, as you’ve probably figured out by now, this is not the way to go about doing things. Let me give you a specific example of what your very first steps MUST be when creating any website… no matter what the subject matter. In our example, let’s create a weight loss related website. Before we start creating and collecting content for the website, we need to do a little keyword research. This is VERY important and should not be skipped. To do our keyword research we need to visit a few websites. The first of which should be http://www.goodkeywords.com/. They have a very good keyword tool, and best of all it’s free! Once we’ve downloaded this software, we can enter the most generic keyword for our website into the software. In our example, our keyword would be “weight loss”. You’ll notice that in the screenshot below, Good Keywords will return a list of related terms. The “count” column will then show us how many times the specific keyword has been searched for the previous month within the Overture.com search engine. Generally, you can multiply that number by 8, in order to estimate the number of times that keyword has been searched within Google for the previous month. Grow Your Links At The Right Pace And Google Will Naturally Fall In Love With Your Site

Issue #3: Grow Your Links At The Right Pace And Google Will Naturally Fall In Love With Your Site

Hello there! I hope you are doing good and proactively applying the principles of organic link building every day. Today we’re gonna talk about what natural link growth is and what it means to your site. Ready? Then let’s get straight to it.

—Dan

In Today’s Issue:

***Growing Your Links At A Natural Speed***

***Use PageRank Information — And Use It Wisely***

***Remember To Get Your Incoming Links From Various Locations***

Growing Your Links At A Natural Speed

If you are running a commercial Website, one of your problems from an SEO perspective is that natural link growth is not likely to happen to you without some extra effort on your part. Unlike blogs, for example, commercial Websites really have to create content that inspires linking and develop inbound links (aka backlinks) proactively.

Since your site’s link popularity depends on the quality as well as the number of backlinks, one of the typical mistakes Webmaster make is to rush and place hundreds or thousands of backlinks to your site overnight. Again, think natural link building. Can a site get thousands of backlinks overnight? No way. Will Google like it? Unless it’s a super-trusted site such as the Open Directory Project (aka DMOZ), the answer is a resounding no.

Therefore, do NOT get hundreds of thousands links pointing to a new site right after the site appears online. If you do this, you are asking search engines for trouble. And trouble here means your site could easily be sandboxed, or even banned from Google. Dropped from the index. Ouch.

You need to increase the number of your backlinks gradually, depending on how many links your site is usually getting. This means if a site usually gets 10 new links a week, don’t point 100 backlinks to it all of a sudden. Instead, increase the number of backlinks you get slowly but surely, by 5 or 15 links a week, for example. Schedule your link growth, and try to keep up with that schedule to stay in the clear and build your links the natural way.

Tracking your link growth could be a pain in the neck, especially if you have hundreds of them or if you are running multiple Websites. Not to worry — LinkAssistant makes this job a lot easier. LinkAssistant quickly tells you all you need to know about your backlinks, including but not limited to a backlink’s creation date, its link popularities in major search engines, its Alexa Rank, its Google PageRank, and which site it’s coming from. And, you can easily check if a link still exists, and add more links.

Use PageRank Information — And Use It Wisely

We all know what PageRank is. It’s a patented method that Google uses to measure the relative importance of a page, on a scale of 0 to 10. Here’s how Google describes it:

PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important.”

Now don’t get carried away and make achieving a high PageRank the most important part of your linking strategy. PageRank is just one of the many factors Google takes into account when calculating the ranking for your Website. And it’s not the most important one. Not by a long shot. So you should not be interested in PageRank per se, you should be interested in getting more targeted traffic, more visitors and more sales.

But, PageRank does have its uses in the organic link building context. Generally, you wanna make sure the PageRank pattern of your incoming links appears natural to Google. This means, the PageRank values of the sites that link to you should be different, since that’s how it usually happens with the natural link growth scenario we are trying to reproduce.

For instance, if ten of your incoming links carry the PageRank of 5, six links have a PageRank of 4, and the remaining 50 have PageRanks of 0 to 3, this looks all natural and dandy. However, if all ten of your backlinks have the PageRank value of 5, odds are, your site will be penalized.

Why? Because this doesn’t look natural to Google. What it does look like is that you simply went ahead and purchased ten high PageRank links pointing to your site. Even if you didn’t, Google will still think you did and devalue them, so be warned.

You can use LinkAssistant to get a quick overview of the PageRank values your incoming links have, and adjust your linking strategy accordingly. My experience ahs been that for optimal results not more than 15-20% of your incoming links should have a PageRank of 5 and above. Feel free to use this tip as a rule of thumb when in doubt.

Remember To Get Your Incoming Links From Various Locations

Another factor to consider when evaluating the quality of your backlinks is where they come from on a specific page. Although not as important as other factors, the onpage location of your incoming links is also taken into account by the search engines when deciding how natural these links actually are.

With a natural link growth, people will put links to your site into different places no a page. This includes headers, footers, body text and navigation, for example.

Therefore, it’s in your best interest to get incoming links from different locations too when exchanging links. While this could be tricky to implement in practice, at least make sure you don’t get all your links from the same location such as a page footer. Such placement is typical for some link network services.

This is not to say you shouldn’t do it, just remember such links will be of a lower value search engines-wise.

OK, let’s call it a day for now. Hopefully you’ve learned some useful things in this issue that you can apply to your own site. As always, you can contact me directly at dan@link-assistant.com if you have any further questions.

: Finally!? A pain-free solution to get your pages into the search engines fast. Review of: Blogging Equalizer Reviewed by: arllan ibit For the website publisher, getting your articles and other content into the search engines (so you can start making money fast) is often a challenge. Although there are a number of solutions, most of them require some kind of work. And when you have a number of websites, this takes valuable hours of your day you could be spending on more profitable tasks. One of the most popular shortcuts is the “Blog and ping” technique. This process works in 4 steps: 1. Build a search engine “spider trap” by creating a free blog on Blogger.com (they can’t resist freshly updated content). 2. Grab a free account at MyYahoo.com. 3. Post links to the web pages you want spidered inside your blog. 4. Then, just call the search engine spiders to dinner by sending (or “pinging”), with the click of a button, the blog to your MyYahoo account. All of this takes around 15 minutes or less to get any page you want into the search engines. Best of all, you didn’t have to spend hours writing anything. But, even doing it manually, takes too much time when you have a lot pages. Blogging Equalizer is a tool that automates this process. So, it allows you to potentially get thousands of pages into the search engines without any time-consuming or tedious work. However, if you only have a single small website (and don’t intend to build anymore), then this tool may not be worth your time. You’re better off doing the technique manually. On the other hand, if you are constantly creating new websites, getting this new tool is a no-brainer. Because it gets your websites off to the right start so they start making money a lot faster than they otherwise would. This means you can quickly move onto the next site, instead of spending more time than you have to on the old ones. For usability, Blogging Equalizer is a breeze to put into action. You just fill in your information and the software scours your website to uncover all of its pages. Then, you just click the “Blog Now” button. There were no noticeable flaws and since it has been first put out, there’s already been a free upgrade. A key advantage Blogging Equalizer has over other tools is that it has many features to make the software work as though a person is pushing the buttons. This is important because it means the search engines and free blog host won’t think you’re a piece of software. Simply put, Blogging Equalizer is a complete solution and a powerful tool to every website owner who’s always creating new sites. With its power in your hands, you’ll increase your AdSense income and get traffic faster to boost your sales. To pick-up your copy, visit: Blogging Equalizer

Getting Enough Quality Content For Your Sites Solved?

Review of: Article Equalizer

Reviewed by: arllan ibit

Whenever you start a new website, the biggest problem you have is getting enough quality content for people to want to visit, come back… and to make sure the search engines see your sites as “established” (for higher search rankings).

This is why many website owners turn to article directories to pick-up good articles authors let them publish in exchange for including a short resource box.

However, you’ve still got to manually create a web page and put in each article. This can take hours to create pages for only a few dozen articles… hardly much of a benefit.

The software Article Equalizer by Rod Beckwith and Jeff Alderson is an automated solution that imports hundreds of articles, plops them into a pre-designed web page, and then uploads them to your website for you.

This means you can build a site with hundreds of pages in minutes, instead of many long hours.

The websites that can mainly benefit from this tool are those with single page websites (which have little chance of getting top search rankings) or those who monetize their sites with AdSense.

The reason is that by having many pages of good content, then you increase your repeat visitors (which means more clicks on ads) and you have a shot at getting more listings in the search engines (which increases your free search engine traffic).

Overall, Article Equalizer does its job well. In only a short time, it increases the size of your site by hundreds of pages with content search engines love.

Best of all, you can use it for all of your sites, anytime you want, and without any sky-high writer fees that rack-up quickly. Article Equalizer takes advantage of content that is already available for your taking and makes getting large amounts of it practical.

So, if you want to increase your AdSense income and get more repeat visitors, then you should pick-up your copy of : ArticleEqualizer
